Tradescantia-Ohiensis 1C

Ohio Spiderwort (Tradescantia ohiensis) is a beautiful native perennial featuring clusters of delicate, three-petaled violet-blue flowers with bright yellow stamens from late spring into midsummer, rising above slender, arching, grass-like green foliage. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with average to moderately moist, well-drained soil, this adaptable perennial is an excellent choice for native gardens, prairie plantings, and informal perennial borders throughout central Illinois. Ohio Spiderwort attracts native bees and other pollinators, tolerates periods of drought once established, and provides charming seasonal color with flowers that open in the morning and typically close by afternoon.
