Spirea-Double Play Doozie® 3C

Double Play Doozie® Spirea (Spiraea 'NCSX2') is a colorful, compact deciduous shrub featuring vibrant deep red new growth that matures to rich green foliage, complemented by abundant clusters of bright reddish-pink flowers that bloom continuously from late spring into fall. Thriving in full sun with average, well-drained soil and moderate moisture, this naturally rounded shrub is an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, low hedges, and mass plantings throughout central Illinois. Double Play Doozie® Spirea attracts butterflies and other pollinators, offers excellent cold hardiness, and produces no viable seed, providing months of beautiful color with minimal maintenance and no need for deadheading.
