Redbud-Tree 1.5"B

Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) is a beautiful native ornamental tree featuring an abundance of rosy-pink to magenta flowers that cover its bare branches in early spring, followed by attractive, heart-shaped green foliage that turns golden-yellow in autumn and a graceful, spreading canopy. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moderately moist, well-drained soil, this charming small tree is an excellent choice for front yards, woodland gardens, naturalized areas, and specimen plantings throughout central Illinois. Eastern Redbud provides valuable early-season nectar for bees and other pollinators, offers excellent cold hardiness, and brings outstanding spring color and natural beauty to the landscape with relatively little maintenance once established.
