This day-blooming primrose produces bright yellow flowers on top of one- to two-foot tall stems. While it can take a bit of drought, prairie sundrops prefers rich, moist soil and plenty of sun. Wherever you plant it, expect it to spread; it has a rhizomatous root system that allows it to create its own little colony. Bees and other pollinators will visit frequently during the long bloom period. Though there isn't much information regarding herbivory tolerance, the plant's aggressive nature suggests it can withstand being browsed upon by deer and rabbits from time to time.
