Maple-Shirazz 6C

Shirazz® Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Gwen's Rose Delight') is a stunning ornamental tree featuring deeply lobed, variegated foliage that emerges in shades of rosy pink, creamy white, and green before developing rich burgundy-red tones with pink margins throughout the growing season. Thriving in morning sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil, this graceful, upright Japanese maple is an excellent choice for protected specimen plantings, Japanese-inspired gardens, and colorful landscape accents throughout central Illinois. Shirazz® Japanese Maple offers exceptional foliage interest, beautiful autumn color, and an elegant branching habit, although protection from intense afternoon sun, drying winds, and harsh winter conditions is important for maintaining its beauty in our region.
