Maple-Ryu sei 3C

Ryu Sei Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Ryu Sei') is a distinctive ornamental tree featuring bright green, deeply lobed foliage that transforms into brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn, with an unusual, strongly weeping habit that creates a graceful, cascading display. Thriving in morning sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil, this elegant Japanese maple is an excellent choice for specimen plantings, Japanese-inspired gardens, and protected landscape accents throughout central Illinois. Ryu Sei Japanese Maple offers exceptional architectural interest, beautiful seasonal color, and a naturally narrow, cascading form that can be trained to the desired height, although protection from harsh afternoon sun and drying winter winds is beneficial in our region.
