Maple-Orange Dream 7C

Orange Dream Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream') is a stunning ornamental tree featuring brilliant golden-orange foliage in spring that gradually matures to soft yellow-green in summer before transforming into vibrant shades of gold and orange in autumn, creating a beautiful display on its graceful, upright, spreading branches. Thriving in morning sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil, this colorful Japanese maple is an excellent choice for protected specimen plantings, Japanese-inspired gardens, and smaller landscapes throughout central Illinois. Orange Dream Japanese Maple offers exceptional seasonal foliage color, an elegant growth habit, and beautiful landscape contrast, although protection from intense afternoon sun, drying winds, and harsh winter conditions is important for maintaining its beauty in our region.
