Magnolia-Moonglow 5-6'B

Moonglow Sweetbay Magnolia (Magnolia virginiana 'Jim Wilson') is a beautiful ornamental tree featuring fragrant, creamy-white, cup-shaped flowers from late spring into summer, complemented by glossy green leaves with shimmering silvery undersides and an elegant, upright growth habit. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, slightly acidic soil, this graceful magnolia is an excellent choice for specimen plantings, woodland gardens, and landscapes with consistently moist soil throughout central Illinois. Moonglow Sweetbay Magnolia attracts pollinators, offers improved cold hardiness compared with many other sweetbay magnolias, and provides attractive red seeds and multi-season interest, although its foliage is generally deciduous in central Illinois winters.
