Lilac-Sensation 6C

Sensation Lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Sensation') is a stunning deciduous shrub featuring large, fragrant clusters of deep purple flowers, each beautifully edged in crisp white, creating a striking two-toned display in mid to late spring above lush, heart-shaped green foliage. Thriving in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil and moderate moisture, this upright, rounded lilac is an excellent choice for flowering hedges, privacy screens, specimen plantings, and mixed shrub borders throughout central Illinois. Sensation Lilac offers excellent cold hardiness, attracts butterflies and other spring pollinators, and provides wonderfully fragrant cut flowers, bringing classic spring beauty to the landscape for many years.
