Grass-Undaunted Muhly 1C

Commonly called Ruby Muhly Grass this low-maintenance perennial takes its name from a rugged disposition that’s unfazed by winter cold summer heat drought and even clay soil. It forms a neat clump of light green foliage and in late summer mounts a display of airy ruby-tinged flower spikes. Backlit by the afternoon sun these blooms are breathtaking. This North American native is a great choice for xeric or waterwise gardens as well as dry borders where it mixes well with Blue Fescue Yarrow and Butterfly Weed.
