Candicans White Fir (Abies concolor 'Candicans') is a magnificent evergreen conifer featuring exceptionally beautiful, long, silvery-blue needles and a graceful, symmetrical pyramidal habit that creates a striking focal point throughout the year. Thriving in full sun with well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil and moderate moisture, this stately fir is an excellent choice for specimen plantings, spacious lawns, and evergreen landscapes throughout central Illinois. Candicans White Fir offers excellent cold hardiness, aromatic foliage, and outstanding year-round color with minimal pruning, although good drainage and adequate space are essential for its long-term success.
