Enkianthus-White 3C

White Enkianthus (Enkianthus perulatus) is an elegant deciduous shrub featuring delicate clusters of small, white, bell-shaped flowers in mid to late spring, complemented by finely textured green foliage that transforms into brilliant shades of scarlet, orange, and red in autumn. Thriving in partial shade to morning sun with acidic, organically rich, well-drained soil and consistent moisture, this graceful shrub is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, mixed borders, and protected landscape locations in central Illinois. White Enkianthus offers spectacular fall color, a naturally refined growth habit, and beautiful seasonal interest, although its preference for acidic soil and protection from harsh winter winds makes careful site selection especially important in our region.
