Spirea-Double Play® Candy Corn® 3C

Candy Corn® Spirea (Spiraea japonica 'NCSX1') is a vibrant, compact deciduous shrub featuring brilliant candy-apple-red new growth that matures through orange and golden-yellow, complemented by clusters of rosy-purple flowers in late spring to early summer. Thriving in full sun with average, well-drained soil and moderate moisture, this colorful shrub is an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, low hedges, and mass plantings throughout central Illinois. Candy Corn® Spirea attracts butterflies and other pollinators, offers excellent cold hardiness, and provides outstanding foliage color throughout the growing season with minimal maintenance once established.
