Dogwood-Arctic Fire Yellow 5C

Arctic Fire® Yellow Red Twig Dogwood (Cornus sericea 'SMNCSBD') is a compact deciduous shrub featuring brilliant golden-yellow stems that brighten the winter landscape, complemented by fresh green foliage and clusters of small, creamy-white flowers in late spring to early summer. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with average to moist soil, this adaptable shrub is an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, mass plantings, and winter-interest gardens throughout central Illinois. Arctic Fire® Yellow Dogwood offers excellent cold hardiness, attracts pollinators, tolerates heavy clay and periodically wet soils, and provides outstanding winter color, especially when older stems are periodically removed to encourage vibrant new growth.
