Dogwood-Arctic Fire® 5C

Arctic Fire® Red Twig Dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Farrow') is a beautiful, compact deciduous shrub featuring vibrant red stems that create a stunning display throughout winter, complemented by lush green foliage and clusters of small, creamy-white flowers in late spring to early summer. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with average to moist soil, this adaptable shrub is an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, mass plantings, and winter-interest gardens throughout central Illinois. Arctic Fire® Red Twig Dogwood offers excellent cold hardiness, attracts pollinators, tolerates heavy clay and periodically wet soils, and provides brilliant winter color, especially when older stems are periodically removed to encourage fresh, brightly colored growth.
