Duke Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Duke') is a productive northern highbush blueberry featuring clusters of delicate white, bell-shaped flowers in spring, abundant medium-to-large, light blue berries that ripen early in summer, and attractive green foliage that turns brilliant orange-red in fall. Thriving in full sun with consistently moist, well-drained, acidic soil with a pH of 4.5–5.5, this upright fruiting shrub is an excellent choice for edible landscapes, berry gardens, and sunny garden borders throughout central Illinois. Duke Blueberry offers excellent cold hardiness, flavorful berries that are wonderful for fresh eating and baking, and valuable pollinator appeal, with improved fruit production when planted alongside another compatible northern highbush blueberry variety.
