Banana-Maurelli 10"

Ensete Ventricosum Maurelii plants are very fast growing producing huge banana leaves which are a lovely green with spashes of red and a deep red midrib. When they get too big simply cut the stem to required height and watch the new leaves emerge from the trunk. Perfect for a tropical planting scheme. White flowers are borne in inflorescences 3 to 4 feet long. Fruits are banana-like but dry and unpalatable. Protect from frost in winter.
