Help us make the community more beautiful—one tree at a time. We are seeking a dependable, plant-knowledgeable, and customer-focused Part-Time Tree & Shrub Sales Associate to join our team.

Position Overview:
This role focuses on assisting customers with selecting trees, shrubs, evergreens, and other landscape materials for their projects. Prior plant knowledge or landscaping experience is preferred. Training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a landscaping background who prefers customer interaction and sales over installation work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with selecting trees, shrubs, and evergreens
  • Provide guidance on plant care and landscape planning
  • Help customers with flagstone, cobbles, and related materials
  • Load and unload trucks and semi deliveries
  • Lift and load plants for customers
  • Water and maintain plant inventory
  • Clean and organize tree and shrub lots
  • Operate heavy machinery
  • Support daily nursery operations as needed

Requirements:

  • Plant knowledge or landscaping experience required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy plants and materials
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Must be available to work both weekend days
  • Ability to commute to Urbana, IL 61802 (Required)
  • Must relocate before starting work (Required)

Schedule:

  • Part-time, Seasonal
  • 8-hour day shifts
  • Weekend availability required
